Sukh (Indica Dubs) started listening to vinyl and attending Roots / Dub events at a young age and describes it as a life changing experience.
“Seeing the vinyl spinning, and the vibes in the place – especially when the bass dropped on the sound system – it changed everything, I immediately knew this was the path for me.”
Inspired by the energy, the spiritual upliftment and vibes within the Dub community, Sukh was determined to create his own contribution and started producing his own tunes by the age of 17, with the schooling of his uncle and Dougie Conscious Sounds.
With a clear goal of reaching 100 independent vinyl releases on his own label, Indica Dubs was founded and released its first vinyl in 2010 at the age of 20 and was quickly played by various tops sound systems such as Jah Shaka, Channel One, Entebbe, King Earthquake, Iration Steppas, and many more.

Bukkha showed a strong passion and adeptness for music from an early aged. Drawing on a wide range of influences from the likes of Scientist, Luke Vibert, Madlib & Billie Holiday, it was only a matter of time before he tried his hand at production.
Within a year of beginning to program his own take on deep and dubbed-out dubstep, his tune “Under” was signed to the UK-based label Dubbed Out, which saw a subsequent vinyl release in 2009, featuring a Radikal Guru remix on the flip side. Following his debut, he had the honor of remixing some of the scene’s heavyweights, including Roommate, Radikal Guru, and Tuff & Powa, among others. Over the next few years, Bukkha became a staple of the Gulf Coast’s dub & bass music scene, where he honed his skills as a DJ and gained a strong reputation for his energetic sets.
Fast forward to 2025, Bukkha returned to the studio and released his third vinyl on his imprint. The first 12» featured grime legend Footsie, dub all-star trumpet player Aba Ariginal, and a next-level remix by none other than Mysticwood. The release has received much support from some of the biggest names in the dub scene such as, King Original, Dubkasm, and OBF. This year, Bukkha also teamed up with Ites Vibration, a rising vocalist from Brighton, EN. Together they launched the forward-thinking roots label, Higher. They released their debut self-titled single «Higher,» which received much support and high praise in Riddim Magazine.
